From the Rector's Desk
It is with great pleasure that I welcome all our students both fresh and old to the institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. I also wish to use this opportunity to thank the committee that produced this revised edition of our students’ handbook which contains our academic and examination regulations.
Your student hand book is an indispensable reference document that contains the regulations that will provide our students with the necessary safe guard
throughout their stay in the institute.
The institute of Management and Technology, Enugu as one of the leading polytechnics in the country places high premium on academic excellence through vigorous skills acquisition and research. Consequently, every effort is made to create the enabling environment for the realization of this objective.
The fact of your admission into this great institute consists of a challenge to you as a person and to all of us as members of staff and students to make each and every one of us the best of what we can be for the development of our nation through the acquisition of the necessary and prescribed skills for service to humanity.
On its own part, the management would continue to provide infrastructure that will put the institute at the forefront of technological development. In the recent past, we commissioned our Knowledge centre with V-SAT communication system. This guarantees that at the institute one can be hooked on the internet for browsing 24 hours a day. The facilities and others are there to serve you. You should therefore make use of them and be conversant with the trends and development in your specific field of study and information technology generally.
The ball is now in your court to contribute your quota to the great name and big image of the institute of Management and Technology, Enugu.
GREAT IMT!, GREAT!
